We led an Independent Chair team that assisted NSW, Queensland and Western Australia to harmonise their mine safety legislation. This initiative was part of COAG’s National Mine Safety Framework initiative under the Seamless National Economy agenda.
This project involved chairing and providing secretarial support for the work of two key committees – a Regulator Group and a Legislative Working Group, with the latter including peak industry (employer and employee) stakeholder representatives as well as members of the Regulatory Group.
